On the Premier Foods account, the most exciting and rewarding time to be a part of the field team is the golden quarter. Not only do we have the busiest and most expansive in store plans of the year alongside NPD and multiple seasonal sku’s, but it is also the time of the year where we have the Premier Foods head office team out in store working alongside the field team.

In 2019 alone 155 Premier Foods head office employees completed at least one full day in trade (many of them dressed as Elf’s to add to the fun) working alongside the field team to merchandise over 10,000 cases of Premier Foods product onto the shelves as well as supporting the build of over 1,200 displays. This goes a long way to motivating the team on their 12 weeks of Christmas journey which contributes to the delivery of some fantastic execution in store, from supporting the fantastic in store colleagues with on shelf availability and promotional execution across the 7,000+ core visits we complete to siting over 27,000 displays in 2019 45% of which are sited in optimal locations to deliver the highest sales volume for each store.

To compliment this, we are also supported by our colleagues from Flexforce who complete over 4,000 targeted visits to further support our stores with keeping the shelves full as well as merchandising the displays we have sited really maximising the sales potential in every store.

Of course, it’s not all about the fun we have in store working alongside our Premier Foods colleagues, 2019 saw an increase of +23% in the return on investment delivered through the actions completed in store for Premier Foods vs 2018. This really is the rubber stamp that validates the collaborative approach we have Premier Foods ensuring we plan to succeed and deliver with excellence not just at Christmas but all year round.
